Eight Academic Libraries Partner with Innovative for Encore Reporter Development

Release date: November 11, 2009

Innovative announced today that the development of Encore Reporter, the product that brings the power and ease of Encore Discovery to library-business information, now benefits from the participation of a group of academic libraries that has grown to eight. These libraries are focusing on further developing the features of Encore Reporter that provide collection- and cost-analysis reports to library staff. The academic libraries partnering with Innovative are Ballarat University (Australia); Michigan State University; Stetson School of Law (FL); University of Cadiz (Spain); University of Nebraska, Lincoln; University of Sydney (Australia); University of Wollongong (Australia), and Washington College of Law at American University (DC).

Encore Reporter provides multi-dimensional and visually elegant reports on key performance indicators, operational statistics, patron and material usage analysis, print and e-resource usage, collection development, and more. Encore Reporter empowers library staff to make more informed decisions, which is more important than ever in a challenging service and economic environment.

Says Billie Jo Kaufman of Washington College of Law at American University (DC): “As a Chair of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Libraries, I know it is important to get the right statistics, and get them easily, in the format that funders and other organizations want. What Encore Reporter will do is to present our data and allow us to see it from a number of angles that will give us more and better information. Essentially, we will get more out of the data that we put in the Millennium system, in terms of content, and how it is used.”

The group of academic partners complements the existing group of eight public libraries involved in the Encore Reporter development project.
